Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Dwarkapuri police arrested two individuals for stealing valuables from four houses, an official said on Friday. The police also recovered the stolen valuables worth Rs 3.85 lakh. The accused went to Prayagraj in a rented car after committing theft. The accused are fond of traveling to different destinations and used to commit theft to fulfill the urge of liquor addiction.

Dwarkapuri police station in-charge Rahul Singh Rajpoot said that acting on a tip-off, police arrested Ajay Shukla of Banganga and Santosh Kori of Guru Shankar Nagar. They have allegedly confessed to committing thefts in four vacant houses in Suryadev Nagar, Astha Palace Colony and New Dwarkapuri. They allegedly told cops that they had gone to Prayagraj in a rented car after committing thefts where they sold some of the stolen items. Ajay Shukla is fond of traveling to different destinations while Santosh Kori is addicted to liquor and he committed thefts to fulfill his addictions.    

Two held for broad daylight burglary, stolen valuables worth Rs 6 lakh recovered

Police arrested two individuals for committing daylight burglary in Vijay Nagar area and recovered stolen valuables worth Rs 6 lakh, police said on Friday. According to the police, one Ruby Rathore, a resident of Kalp Kamdhenu Nagar, lodged a complaint stating that she had locked the door of her house and went to the terrace to dry clothes.

After about half an hour, when she came down, the door lock and locker were broken. When she checked her valuables, her gold and silver notes and cash were missing. The police examined CCTV footage and identified two accused Deepak alias Gajni Farkare and Krishnaram. The police arrested them and recovered the stolen items.
