Mumbai: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has successfully completed the final placement process for its MBA (Post Graduate Programme in Management - PGP) Class of 2025. With participation from firms across multiple domains, all students were placed across 30 different cohorts.

The placement process commenced with the Laterals Placement Process from January 6 to 21, wherein firms recruited students with prior work experience for middle and senior management positions. This was followed by the Finals Placements process, where firms were grouped into cohorts based on their industry profiles and invited to campus in different clusters.

Continuing the tradition of previous years, students were allowed to submit 'dream' applications to companies of their choice even after securing an offer, leading to a 16% increase in the number of such applicants compared to the previous year.

In terms of recruitment, Boston Consulting Group emerged as the top recruiter with 35 offers, followed by Accenture Strategy with 30 offers.

Among investment banks, Goldman Sachs led the way with nine offers, closely followed by Avendus Capital with seven. Tata Administrative Services topped the general management domain with five offers, while GMR Group followed with four.

Notably, there was a surge in hiring across several cohorts, with fintech witnessing a 40% rise, advisory consulting increasing by 120%, and consumer tech recording an 800% growth in offers.

Prominent consulting firms such as Bain & Company, McKinsey & Company, Kearney, and PwC India participated in the process. The investment banking sector saw participation from Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase & Co, Morgan Stanley, and Deutsche Bank, among others. Consumer goods and technology firms such as Amazon, Google, Hindustan Unilever, Flipkart, and Procter & Gamble also recruited from the institute.

IIM Ahmedabad saw new recruiters onboarded this year, including GMR Group, Pekers Group, Pluckk, and Showtime Consulting. In the Laterals process, FinIQ Consulting led with 11 offers, followed by Navi with 10 offers.

Commenting on the placement season, Prof. Viswanath Pingali, Chairperson of the Placement Committee, noted, "Despite the current geopolitical uncertainties, corporates continued to show confidence in IIM Ahmedabad. The range of firms and roles offered reflect the exceptional quality of our students and the trust recruiters have in our institution."

Atharva Kapadnis, Recruitment Secretary at IIM Ahmedabad, added, "Our cluster-cohort placement system ensures the best fit between students and recruiters. Even in a dynamic job market, we provided students with flexibility through multiple dream and hold options, enabling them to make informed career choices."

Recruiters echoed similar sentiments, with Saurabh Chhajer, Managing Director & Partner at Boston Consulting Group, stating, "IIM Ahmedabad consistently delivers top-tier talent, and we are delighted to welcome exceptional candidates from this batch."

The final placement data will be published in an audited report in accordance with the Indian Placement Reporting Standards (IPRS) to ensure transparency. The report will be made available to all stakeholders upon its release.
