Bhosari MLA Mahesh Landge on Thursday informed that 'Indrayani Thadi', the rural carnival, has been postponed once again.

The festival was earlier postponed due to the Model Code of Conduct for the assembly polls and subsequent events.

This time, Landge said the rural carnival is being postponed due to the ongoing board exams, as it would lead to traffic jams and cause inconvenience to students and parents. Additionally, he mentioned that Moshi and Charholi would also have fairs in the area, and villagers from those areas would not be able to join the festival. Another reason for the postponement was the death of chief priest in Ayodhya, Acharya Satyendra Das and Kirtankar Shirish More.

He also mentioned that once the new dates are finalized, the schedule will be announced.

Conceptualized by MLA Mahesh Landge, the program is the result of efforts by the Shivanjali Sakhi Manch, said the organizers at a press conference on Tuesday. 'Indrayani Thadi' is a rural carnival with cultural events, food markets, flea markets, live shows, packaged/homemade food products, handicrafts, and handloom, among other attractions.

The program is aimed at providing a market for products made by women’s self-help groups and uplifting their social status by making them financially independent.
