Gorakhpur: An 18-year-old engineering student died by suicide on Wednesday as they failed to clear the JEE entrance exam. The girl has been identified as Aditi Mishra. Before ending her life, Aditi left a suicide note for her parents. Notably, the girl took the extreme step a day after JEE results were declared and she failed to qualify. In the suicide note, Aditi said "sorry" to her parents.

She was disappointed at the results and took the extreme step to end her life. "Sorry mummy papa, forgive me... I could not do it," the suicide note read as reported by NDTV. She was a student of Momentum Coaching Center located in Betiahata area in Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur.

According to a report by NDTV, the girl was preparing for JEE for two years and was staying at the Satyadeep Girls Hostel. After the JEE results, she had a word with her parents on Wednesday morning. She reportedly asked her father too recharge her phone. At the time of the incident, her roommate had gone out.

However, when the girl's roommate came back, she found the door locked rom inside. Aditi's roommate was shocked when she peeped insde the room. she saw that Aditi was hanging from the ceiling. The girl's roommate rushed to the hosotel warden, who then informed the police.

The police recovered the suicide note from the room. "Sorry mummy papa, forgive me... I could not do it... this was the end of our relationship... you guys don't cry... you guys gave me a lot of love. I could not fulfil your dreams... you guys please take care of Choti... she will definitely fulfill your dreams. Your beloved daughter- Aditi" the suicide note read as reported by the media house.

Aditi's parents were informed and her body was sent for postmortem.
