Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Two youths were arrested for stabbing a person over an old rivalry in the Hira Nagar area on Wednesday. The investigation is on to recover the bike used in the crime. 

Hira Nagar police station in charge PL Sharma said that Adarsh Sharma, a resident of Kalpana Nagar area was stabbed by two youths named Sunil Medha and Himanshu Sharma, residents of Pardesipura on February 6. Adarsh informed the police that he used to work as a loan recovery agent with a bank.

A few months ago, he had gone to Himanshu’s place to recover the loan instalment and had an argument with him.  On February 6, when Adarsh was parking his bike outside a hotel, Himanshu and Sunil reached there and started an argument with him.

The situation turned intense and one of the accused stabbed him twice using a knife and fled the scene. The police had been searching for the accused and information was received that the accused were seen on the Super Corridor. The police team reached the mentioned place and arrested both of them. A knife used in the crime was also recovered from them.   

Mobile phone snatcher held with 26 mobile phones

Tukoganj police station staff arrested a youth for robbing a man from Rajasthan in the area on Wednesday. Twenty-five more mobile phones were recovered from the accused and he is being questioned. Tukoganj police station in charge Jitendra Singh Yadav said that the complainant Hitesh from Chittorgarh in Rajasthan was robbed of his mobile phone near Vallabh Nagar area on Tuesday.

A police team was constituted for the search of the accused. Acting on a tip-off, the police team arrested the accused named Aman Sem, a resident of Sukhliya area from Pancham Ki Phel area of the city. Aman allegedly confessed to robbing the man of his mobile phone.

A bag containing 25 other mobile phones was also recovered from him and the accused have allegedly confessed to snatching the phones from other people in the city as well. The investigation is ongoing and the owners of the mobile phones are being searched on the basis of the IMEI numbers of the phones. Police claimed that the accused was arrested within a few hours of the incident.
