Bigg Boss 18 fame Kashish Kapoor came out in support of Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina and Apoorva Mukhija amid the ongoing hate and backlash that they have been receiving post the latest episode of India's Got Latent. She called it ironic how netizens have been been abusing Apoorva online after criticising her for being abusive on the show.

Kashish took to her social media to share a video in which she stated that while Ranveer should have been more careful with his choice of words on a public platform, such jokes are a common occurrence on the internet. "Beer Biceps yaani Ranveer ne jo joke maara tha, that was not even an original. Aise weird questions internet pe chalte aa rahe hain. I do understand ki India, however, vaisi country nahi hai. Toh yahan pe hume bohot careful hona padta hai with what content you put out," she said.

I somehow strongly agree with this. No outrage on more important issues by the media?

She went on to say that while people had all the right to criticise Ranveer, Samay and Apoorva, they did not have the right to spew hate online. "I agree the jokes were in a bad taste and we can condemn them but it wasn't a crime ki unke khilaaf FIR ho jaaye. That’s just too much. Do we really think ki aaj ke time main Samay ka show aur Ranveer ka comment humare desh ki sabse badi issue hai?" she questioned.

Pointing out the derogatory comments that Apoorva is being subjected to online, Kashish added, "Irony dekho, people are criticising Apoorva that she abused on the show by abusing her in the comments section. What sense does that make? This is Koffee With Karan Hardik Pandya’s episode all over again. There is a limit to criticism. After that, it just becomes hate. I would tell you ki yeh witch hunt chhod do."

Kashish concluded her video message stating that while Ranveer, Samay and Apoorva do have a higher moral responsibility as they are public figures, the FIRs against them was not justified.

What is the India's Got Latent controversy?

For those unversed, Ranveer has been facing severe backlash after during the latest episode of Samay Raina's India's Got Latent, he asked a contestant, "Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life — or would you join in once and stop it forever?"

Post the criticism, the Youtuber issued an apology stating that there was a "lapse in judgement" and that comedy was not his forte.
