Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Athletes from Madhya Pradesh continued their stellar performance at the Uttarakhand National Games 2025, securing one gold and one silver in judo, one gold in wrestling, one gold in Mallakhamb and one silver in canoeing on Tuesday. With 63 medals including 27 gold, 18 silver, and 18 bronze,  MP secured the top four position in the medal tally.

In the Judo Under-90kg Individual Men’s Category, Bharam Vats from MP clinched the gold medal after defeating Ajay Kumar from SSCB. Meanwhile, in the Judo Under-63kg Individual Women’s Category, Himanshi Tokas from MP won the silver medal, narrowly losing to Uttarakhand’s Unnati Sharma. In the Wrestling Under-50kg Individual Women’s Category, MP’s star athlete Shivani Nandlal Pawar clinched gold. She has previously represented India in multiple international tournaments.

Madhya Pradesh team (Veera Rathore, Jessica Prajapati, Mahi Rathore, Anushka Nayak, Siddhi Gupta, and Anjali Yadav)  won the gold medal in Mallakhamb, Team Championship, Women's Category  with  83.20 score.

In Canoeing Men’s Sprint C1 1000m Individual Event, Arvind Verma from MP won silver, clocking 4:05.968 minutes. He missed the gold medal by just 697 milliseconds, as SSCB’s Gyaneshwar secured the top position with a time of 4:05.271 minutes.

In Shooting – Skeet Men’s Individual Category, Rituraj Singh Bundela (MP) qualified for the quarter-finals. In Women’s Individual Category,  Vanshika Tiwari, Shivani Raikwar, and Mohika Sisodia (Madhya Pradesh) secured their spots in the quarter-finals.

Besides, athletes from the state will compete for medals in Mallakhamb, Canoeing & Kayaking, Shooting, Gymnastics, Athletics, Judo, and Wrestling on Tuesday.
