Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A minor hanged herself to death following harassment by the neighbor in Madhya Pradesh's Guna on Wednesday. The accused made her pictures and videos viral on social media, which forced her to take the extreme step.

The grieving family placed her body on the road and staged a protest, demanding strict action against the accused.

The accused has been identified as Suraj Kushwaha. He is currently absconding.

The incident was reported in the Kushmouda area of ​​​​Cantt in Guna. The family alleged that neighbor Suraj Kushwaha would send obscene messages to the minor. He had some photos and videos with the girl, and he would harass her and threaten her. Kushwaha posted them on social media without her permission.

The minor's father told that he was on the farm when he got a call from home that his daughter's health was deteriorating. When he reached home, he was shocked to see her hanging by a dupatta.

A few days ago, the girl's family had asked the young man's family to convince him to stay away from the girl. The victim's mother said that the accused would make vulgar gestures towards her and send her video to several people.

Cantt police station in charge TI Anup Bhargava said that an FIR has been registered against Suraj Kushwaha. A case has been registered against him under sections of inciting a minor to commit suicide.

Tehsildar Gaurishankar Bairwa, CSP Bharat Nautiya, Cantt TI Anup Bhargava, and Kotwali TI Brajmohan Bhadoria approached the grieving family members who staged protests at Hanuman Chowk. The police recorded the statement of the girl's father and assured them action.

Following which, the family agreed to cremation.
