Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Amid a rise in road accidents, a case of driver's negligence has been reported in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur on Wednesday.
A video has surfaced on social media, showing a driver watching videos and reels on his mobile phone while driving the bus. He was seen moving the steering wheel and honking while scrolling the mobile phone.

The incident was reported on a metro bus carrying over two dozen passengers in the Patan area of Jabalpur. The driver did not keep his mobile phone aside and continued to scroll despite objections by the passengers. He sped the bus and put it in gear while watching the videos.
The video has gone viral on social media, drawing criticism from netizens. They have demanded strict action against the accused driver, said Additional SP Suryakant Sharma.

Similarly, a tragic road accident was reported in Bargi near Jabalpur on the Nagpur-Prayagraj highway on Tuesday. A speeding traveler bus rammed into a parked truck. The traveler bus was crushed between the truck and the road railing, killing seven people on the spot. An extractor machine was used to pick up the trapped bodies.
CM Mohan Yadav expressed grief over the accident. He asked the driver to take proper sleep breaks on the journey and avoid driving for extended hours.
