Notably, the woman and her husband are sales tax advocates. In the video, the female lawyer could be seen grabbing men by their collars. She then slapped one of them. It infuriated him. This infuriated the man and he started assaulting the female advocate. Her husband tried to come forward to rescue her, but the man's friends grabbed him by the neck and thrashed him also.
The Uttar Pradesh Police has taken cognizance of the matter after the video went viral and directed the Ghaziabad Police to action. "The above case is in the knowledge of the local police. The Congress slammed the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government over the incident. "In Ghaziabad, goons brutally beat up a female advocate. In which she was badly injured. Women cannot enjoy safety and peace in any corner of 'crime-ridden Uttar Pradesh'. When such an incident can happen with a female advocate, then what will happen to common women?"
