In a shocking incident, a man poured petrol on a burqa-clad woman in broad daylight and reportedly threatened to set her on fire. A CCTV camera installed in the Huzurnagar area of the state recorded the visuals of this man throwing the inflammable liquid at the lady. It also showed the man pouring petrol on himself and creating a ruckus on the streets. Locals intervened and slapped the man for his concerning behaviour.

The video opened by showing three people, a man and two burqa-clad ladies standing at the roadside. This man was seen engaging in a conversation with two of them. He reportedly questioned one of the women on why she didn't love him.
The jilted lover poured petrol and threatened to burn her alive in public after she rejected his advances, according to an X post by journalist Surya Reddy.
In the two-minute-long footage, the man was seen repeatedly splashing petrol on one of the women. He approached the lady with a bottle filled with fuel and attacked her openly on the streets of Telangana. She tried to resist his actions with her hands. As the man opened the bottle and threw petrol at her, she placed her hands in front to stop him.
Taking note of the incident, passersby gathered at the spot and addressed the issue. One of the local men was seen shooing him away from the two women and slapping him for his actions.

According to a report by local news portal, Siasat, the fight broke out after the woman was found to be disinterested in the man. He took out the bottle and threw it on his lover after he refused his love him back.
The woman was identified as a 23-year-old living in Huzurnagar of Suryapet district, Telangana with her uncle.
Following the incident, it was reported that the woman registered a complaint with Huzurnagar police against the culprit identified as Sundar Pramod, who tried to "murder her" by setting her on fire.
