The UK-India Young Professionals Scheme 2025 application process has begun. The scheme offers 3,000 seats for Indian nationals to live, study, travel, and work in the UK for a maximum of two years.
Eligibility Criteria
For Indian Nationals:
Age: 18 years old or above on the date of travel to the UK
Savings: Proof of £2,530 (approximately Rs 2,70,824) to support themselves in the UK
Family: No children under 18 who live with them or whom they're financially responsible for.
For UK Residents:
Qualification: UK bachelor's degree level or above
Age: Between 18-30 years old
Savings: Rs 2,50,000 in their bank account for a minimum period of 30 days
Application process:
The voting will begin on February 18 and end at 2:30 PM (IST) on February 20.
On the official website, Indian citizens can cast their ballots for free.
A random selection of the successful entries will be sent out via email within two weeks of the ballot closing.
The chosen candidates will have ninety days to submit their visa applications, submit their biometrics, and pay the necessary expenses.
Points to remember:
The scheme is reciprocal, allowing UK and Indian nationals to live, study, travel, and work in each other's countries for up to two years.
Selected applicants must return to India after completing two years in the UK under this scheme.
Applicants must have the required funds in their account for at least 28 consecutive days before applying.
