New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Wednesday rejected a plea of former media executive Indrani Mukerjea seeking permission to travel abroad. Mukerjea is accused of killing her daughter Sheena Bora. The top court directed the trial court to expeditiously complete the trial in the Sheena Bora murder case.
A key accused in her daughter Sheena Bora’s murder case, Mukerjea is currently out on bail
Last year in August, the Bombay High Court (HC) also quashed special court order permitting Mukherjea.
On July 19, a special CBI court allowed Mukerjea to travel once to Spain and the UK for ten days between intermittent periods over the next three months. Mukerjea had sought permission to travel abroad claiming that she needed to change certain bank-related documents and other ancillary work after her divorce with Peter Mukerjea.
