A commendable incident of quick response and coordinated efforts unfolded at Martur Station, showcasing the dedication and sensitivity of the railway staff in handling additional responsibilities beyond their routine duties.

About The Incident

On 10th February 2025, at 4:15 AM, the Dy SS (Deputy Station Superintendent), Kalaburagi relayed a distress message that a passenger's bag had fallen onto the tracks from Train No 17307 Basava Express near the Solapur-End platform of Martur station. Acting promptly, the Dy SS, Martur mobilised all available night patrolmen, mates, and keymen to locate and retrieve the bag.

The extensive search efforts bore fruit when a vigilant keyman found the bag in the morning and promptly handed it over to the Dy SS, Martur at 9:30 AM. The passenger, who had travelled back to Martur by road later in the afternoon, was relieved to find his bag intact at the station. All his original documents and personal belongings were safely returned to him, reinforcing the efficiency and integrity of the railway personnel. The passenger expressed immense gratitude and appreciation for the railway staff, commending their sincerity and dedication.

Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Solapur Division, Sujeet Mishra appreciated the railway staff on cohesive team working and readiness of staff on track to take additional responsibilities with sensitivity.
