Actress Mrunal Thakur recently watched Kangana Ranaut's Emergency and she was all praise for the actress-turned-politician. She after defended Kangana after a troll called it a 'propaganda' film. Emergency chronicles the political turbulence during India's Emergency period in 1975, when Indira Gandhi was the Prime Minister. Besides playing the lead, Kangana also directed and co-produced the film.

On Tuesday (February 11), Mrunal shared pictures of Kangana as Indira Gandhi and penned a long note, stating how the actress inspired her. She also called herself a 'huge fan' of Kangana.

Mrunal also urged everyone to watch the film in theatres. Sharing her experience of watching the film, Mrunal wrote, "I just watched Emergency in theaters with my father, and I’m still reeling from the experience! As a huge fan of Kangana Ranaut, I’ve been eagerly awaiting to witness this film on big screens and IT WAS A MASTERPIECE."

Mrunal reacts to Instagram user who called Emergency 'propaganda' film

Soon after Mrunal shared the post, a user commented, "She's really a great actor but after joined politics this movie seems propaganda. So, I shall not watch this."

Reacting to the comment, Mrunal wrote, "The entire team has worked really hard! Would appreciate if you watch it yourself and then decide."

Meanwhile, on the work front, Mrunal made a special appearance in Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani. Previously, she was seen in the Telugu film The Family Star alongside Vijay Devarakonda.

Next, Mrunal will star in Pooja Meri Jaan, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, and Son of Sardaar 2.
