The Maharashtra Cyber Police on Tuesday registered an FIR against 30 to 40 individuals for allegedly creating and publishing obscene content related to YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia's controversial comment. Reportedly, YouTube blocked the episode in India following a government order.Several social media users shared screenshots showing that the video had been pulled down from the platform."Video unavailable. This content is not available in this country domain due to a legal complaint from the government," the message on the screen read.
Senior Advisor at the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Kanchan Gupta, took to her official X account on Tuesday (February 11) and wrote, "The episode on @YouTube with obscene and perverse comments by Ranveer Allahabadia has been blocked following Government of India orders."

The comment has faced criticism from various quarters, including political, social, legal, and women's rights organisations.
Naresh Mhaske, a Member of Parliament from Shiv Sena (Shinde), raised the matter in Parliament and stated, "Freedom of speech is not freedom to insult. It is high time for strict laws on social media and OTT platforms."
