Amid the intense backlash coming Youtuber Ranveer Allahbadia's way over his controversial statements on the show India's Got Latent, men's rights activist Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj defended him and asked people to go easy on him. She also mentioned his journey from being an alcoholic to a fitness influencer and entrepreneur.
Voicing out her support for Ranveer, Deepika wrote on X, "His journey from being a young boy drowning in Alcohol, Obesity to an Entrepreneur & Fitness enthusiast has always been admirable to me. He has inspired so many youngsters to find their purpose, focus on building themselves rather than wasting time on meaningless pursuits & bad habits (sic)."
I was following @BeerBicepsGuy since a long time before I went on his podcast

She stated that while his comment on India's Got Latent about parents having sex was wrong, the hatred and abuse he is now being subjected to was also not justified. "This digital lynching of sorts with endless FIRs, summons from commissions, pressure for arrest in order to finish his career completely is sick, bizarre & totally mindless (sic)," she wrote.
"Itna koi bada paap nahi kiya hai isne Jo iske haath dhokar peeche pad gaye hain log...Galti har insaan se hoti hai. Isne maafi bhi maangi hai uske liye. Hadd hi ho rahi hai ab to (sic)," she added.
I met Ranveer at a cafe in Dharamshala on August 13th, he was with his girlfriend.

A few people came to the cafe to felicitate him.
So much fame at such a young age, has got the better of him.
Hope no one goes to his podcast show ever again.

What is the India's Got Latent controversy?
For those unversed, Ranveer has been facing severe backlash after during the latest episode of Samay Raina's India's Got Latent, he asked a contestant, "Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life — or would you join in once and stop it forever?"
Post the criticism, the Youtuber issued an apology stating that there was a "lapse in judgement" and that comedy was not his forte.
Meanwhile, several police complaints and FIRs have been registered against Ranveer, Samay, and the others on the show in Mumbai, Indore and Guwahati.
