Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray are extending their coaching partnership until at least Wimbledon 2025. Despite Djokovic's semifinal exit from the Australian Open 2025 due to an injury, Murray's guidance has been deemed a success.

The duo's collaboration began at the start of the 2025 tennis season, with Murray joining Djokovic's coaching team after retiring from professional tennis last year. The Serbian player has a wonderful bond with Murray and would be looking forward to make the best of the remaining 2025 season.

According to reports, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray are likely to extend their coaching partnership, with the collaboration set to continue unless the ongoing discussions break down.

The Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray partnership

Novak Djokovic's Australian Open 2025 campaign ended prematurely due to a hamstring injury, forcing him to retire in the semifinals. When asked about Andy Murray's future as his coach, Djokovic remained non-committal but praised Murray's contributions, describing their collaboration as "positive".

“I don’t know. We both were disappointed with what just happened, so we didn’t talk about future steps. We were so fresh off the court. I will definitely have a chat with Andy, and thank him for being here.” Djokovic said.

“I will give my feedback, which is obviously positive, and see how he feels before we take the next step. We are still hot-headed and disappointed. So, it’s kind of hard to switch the page and start talking about what the next steps are. I think we both need to cool off a bit, and then we’ll have a chat,” Djokovic added.

Andy Murray's appointment to Novak Djokovic's coaching staff was a surprise move, given their history as fierce on-court rivals, and initially raised eyebrows within the tennis community. But the duo seems to be enjoying their student-coach partnership.
