Nalgonda, February 11: In a terrifying incident, students were shocked after they found a snake on the bookshelves at Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU) Library in Telangana's Nalgonda. They were panicked on noticing the giant snake resting on the books inside the library. They also attacked and injured the snake in fear.

The terrifying incident was caught on camera and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media. It can be seen in the video that the students and the staff present inside the library attacked the snake with sticks and injured the reptile.

Snake Killed In The Attack

The video showed that the snake was covered in blood after being hit with the sticks by the students and the staff. There are reports that the snake was killed in the attack due to the injuries after being attacked and brutally beaten with sticks.

The students were searching for books when they suddenly noticed a snake resting on them. Seeing the snake, which was about 8 feet long, they panicked and screamed for help. Hearing the commotion, university security staff rushed to the spot. They quickly took action and killed the snake to ensure the students' safety.

About The Viral Video

The viral video shows that the snake is resting on the books. It is also seen in the video that the snake is crawling on the ground. The reptile was not able to move on the floor as it was slippery for the snake to move forward. Unable to move the snake was then hit by the sticks after which it started bleeding profusely.

They are seen in the video dragging the snake on the floor using the stick with which it was attacked. The blood is also seen spilled on the floor. The people then put the dead snake into a gunny bag and carried out of the library.

Killing The Snake Is Tragic

The killing of the snake is tragic as the students could have called in the forest department on spotting the reptile inside the library. They should have left the snake alone and waited for the forest department officials to arrive and rescue the snake. No student was attacked by the snake, however, they attacked the snake in fear and panic.
