Patna: A violent incident unfolded at Madhubani Railway station in Bihar on Monday, as a large group of passengers en route to the Maha Kumbh Mela in Uttar Pradesh lost control and smashed the windows of the Swatantrata Senani Super Fast Express.
The train, already packed to capacity, was unable to accommodate the sheer number of passengers waiting to board, leading to heightened tensions.

Do these people even deserve good infrastructure?
A few days later the same people will be seen complaining about the "bad condition" of trains. pic.twitter.com/f9NkOB1M6P
Eyewitness videos captured the mayhem, showing passengers throwing stones and shattering the glass of AC compartments, causing panic among those inside. Two women in an AC compartment were seen screaming as a window was broken next to them.
Passenger Amarnath Jha described the scene as "absolute chaos," highlighting the lack of security at the station when the disturbance occurred.

The train, which was traveling from Jainagar to New Delhi via Prayagraj, was delayed for an hour as authorities struggled to restore order. Several individuals involved in the uproar were later detained by the railway authorities.
A similar attack occurred on the same train in Samastipur district just days earlier. In that incident, stones were hurled at the train, causing minor injuries and damage to the train's windows. The Samastipur Railway Police have filed a case against unknown individuals and are actively seeking the perpetrators.
