Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Amid rising cases of crime against girls and women, a horrific incident was reported in Madhya Pradesh's Narsinghpur on the intervening night of Monday-Tuesday. A 19-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped and pushed down from a 15-foot-high terrace.

The crime was executed by the girl's relatives on her neighbour's terrace. It is said that as many as six people were involved in the crime, of whom four were arrested.

Hearing her screams, her parents rushed out and were devastated to see her lying in the pool of blood. Her father immediately called Dial 100. A team of police rushed to the spot and took her to the district hospital.

Victim critical

She is currently undergoing treatment at the Narsinghpur district hospital, and her condition is said to be critical. If her condition continues to deteriorate, she might be referred to neighbouring Jabalpur for the medical treatment.

The police have arrested four accused while the search for two others is underway. According to Nai Dunia, the victim's father said that he reached the spot after hearing his daughter's screams and was shocked to see his daughter bleeding and lying unconscious on the ground.

He then called emergency services at Dial 100, following which a police team reached the spot.
