Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A 26-year-old youth allegedly ended his life after his girlfriend’s parents refused their marriage in Madhya Pradesh's Indore. He was found hanging at his residence in the Azad Nagar area on Monday evening.

The deceased was identified as Narendra Sharma. He was alone at home at the time of the incident.

Preliminary investigation revealed that his girlfriend’s parents refused the marriage, citing his short height, leading him to take the drastic step. However, no suicide note was recovered from his place.

Girl agreed to marry, but her parents refused

According to the police, Narendra Sharma, a resident of Mayur Nagar in Indore. He owned a stationery and MP online shop. His family members said that Narendra was in a relationship with a girl for the last couple of years. The girl agreed to marry him, but her parents refused the marriage, citing his short height and a person’s demise in their family. He was tense due to the refusal of marriage and took the drastic step to end life. Narendra was not receiving his friend’s call, and when they reached his place, they found him hanging.

The police began a probe into the case and conducted the post-mortem of the deceased.
