While interacting with one of the contestants, Ranveer asked, "Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever." The other panelists laughed out loud soon after Ranveer asked the crass question.

This did not go down well netizens as well as others who demanded Ranveer and Samay's arrest. Several complaints have also been filed against the comedian and the popular YouTuber.

Ranveer Allahbadia's public apology

Amid the backlash on Monday (February 10), Ranveer issued an apology and, taking full responsibility for his remarks. He admitted, "My comment wasn't just inappropriate, it wasn't even funny. Comedy is not my forte, I am just here to say sorry. Many of you asked if this is how I wish to use the platform and obviously this is not how I am going to use it. I am not going to give any context or justification or reasoning behind whatever happened. Just an apology. I personally had a lapse in judgment. It wasn't cool on my part."

He further stated, "The podcast is watched by people of all ages. I don’t want to be the person that takes that responsibility lightly. And, family is the last thing that I would disrespect. Need to use this platform better, that’s been my learning from this experience. I promise to just get better. All I can say in the end is I am sorry. I hope you forgive me as a human being."

Rakhi Sawant's past appearance on India’s Got Latent

It may be noted that Rakhi has appeared twice as a judge on Samay's show and her participation has not been without its own share of drama. Last year, during an episode filmed in Delhi, she had an explosive altercation with senior comedian Maheep Singh.

When Maheep was praising a contestant, Rakhi unexpectedly lashed out, yelling, "Chup kar buddhe, kitna pakayega tu?" The comedian refused to tolerate the outburst and stormed off the stage. The confrontation escalated when Rakhi stepped down, hurled a chair, and walked out in a dramatic exit that made headlines.
