Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The Border Security Force’s (BSF) 52nd Inter-Frontier Platoon Weapon Shooting Competition began at the Central School of Weapons & Tactics (CSWT) at Reoti Range on Monday. BSF director general (DG) Daljit Singh Chawdhary inaugurated the prestigious six-day event, which is set to take place from February 10 to February 15.

This annual competition brings together the finest sharpshooters from all 11 BSF Frontiers, engaging in rigorous challenges that test their precision shooting, tactical manoeuvres and combat readiness.

The event serves as a crucial platform for honing battlefield techniques, strengthening teamwork and upholding the highest standards of discipline and accuracy. The BSF has a long history of producing world-class marksmen and this competition reflects its commitment to continuous training and operational excellence.

This year’s contest promises intense competition as teams strive to showcase their skills and etch their names in BSF’s history. At the grand closing ceremony on February 15, Kailash Vijayvargiya, minister of urban development, housing and parliamentary affairs, Government of Madhya Pradesh, will be the chief guest.

He will honour the winners and celebrate their achievements. CSWT Indore, the host institution, is renowned for its cutting-edge training in weapons and tactical operations. This competition underscores the BSF’s unwavering dedication to national security and operational preparedness.

Frontier Last year, the North Bengal Frontier emerged as the champion, while the Gujarat Frontier secured second place, and the Jammu Frontier claimed third place.
