Mumbai: Actor Saif Ali Khan's interview published in a section of the press on Monday has raised several fresh questions relating to the reported stabbing incident in his penthouse in Bandra on January 16.

* Saif said the attacker was holding a hacksaw blade over his son Jeh's bed and in the same breadth he said he was holding a knife in each hand. He again repeated that "two knives were in action." Surely there is a difference between a hacksaw blade and a knife.

* Saif said Kareena went down the building along with him and "was shouting for a rickshaw or a cab or anything." Then Saif quoted Kareena telling him "You go to the hospital and I'll go to my sister's house." Kareena did not accompany her bleeding husband to Lilavati hospital but seven-year-old Taimur told his father "I'm coming with you." Said it was not the right thing to send Taimur with him, but he felt good about it.

* Saif says he was accompanied in the autorickshaw by son Taimur and servant Hari. But Dr Bhargavi Patil of Lilavati Hospital has stated in her medico-legal report to the Bandra police that the actor was accompanied by Afsar Zaidi who is believed to be a friend of Saif. So who exactly accompanied Saif to the hospital? Hari or Afsar?

* The medical superintendent of Lilavati Hospital Dr Niraj Uttamani claimed that Saif had walked into the hospital "like a lion." But the actor is saying that after he entered the emergency room he asked to be taken in a stretcher.

* Saif said he got himself admitted soon after the incident (which took place around 2 a.m.), but Dr Patil said he was admitted at 4.11 a.m. Yet another major discrepancy between what the actor said and the report filed with the police.

* Referring to the entry of the attacker Saif said "I firmly believe a guy climbed up a drainpipe and squeezed through a hole and arrived in our house." It is not clear what is the "hole" he is talking about. It is surprising the posh penthouse had a hole through which an adult man could enter.
