Birla College in Kalyan recently concluded its one-day Birlotsav, an intercollegiate fest organized on a grand scale at B.K. Birla College in Kalyan. The festival, held on February 7, drew over 5,000 students from more than 40 colleges across Mumbai, showcasing student talent through a wide array of competitions, including singing, fashion shows, group and solo dances, montages, t-shirt painting, mono-acting, folk dances, and more.

The theme of the fest, "Enchanted Escapade," added a magical touch to the campus, and the event saw enthusiastic participation from students pursuing diverse academic disciplines, including management, accountancy, and mass media.

About 5,000 art-loving students from various educational institutions, such as Hinduja College, Jai Hind College, Somaiya College, Elphinstone College, Ruparel College, and Khalsa College, participated in the competitions. The event was sponsored by Aditya Birla-Grasim Industries.

Famous Hindi and Marathi serial actress and former student of the college, Sneha Wagh, inaugurated the program. On this occasion, the Director (Education) Dr. Naresh Chandra, Principal Dr. Avinash Patil, and other dignitaries encouraged the participants and flagged off the event.

After a day of competitions, the closing ceremony was held with special grandeur. Approximately four lakh rupees were distributed as prize money to the awarded students. On this occasion, K.D.M.C. Commissioner Dr. Indu Rani Jakhar and Shri O. R. Chitlange, Chairman of the Management Committee of the college, awarded the winners. Famous Hindi singer Shivam Chowhan and his team enthralled the audience with their performance.

"This intercollegiate fest aims to set a new benchmark in celebrating arts and culture by bringing together students and cultural enthusiasts from various institutions to showcase their talent and creativity," said the Director of B.K. Birla College in Kalyan.

The event was organized with the support of the Arts Circle of the college and other faculty members, with assistance from Akanksha Thakur, Chairperson of the Arts Circle. Nikhil Kumar and Ankita Singh, students from the Department of Multimedia and Mass Communication, compered the program. Arnold Jathana, Assistant Professor in the Department of Management Studies, and Akash Kamble, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science, presented the vote of thanks.
