Mumbai, February 10: In a shocking incident which occurred on the night of Monday (February 3), a woman named Pooja along with her lover Imran Mansoori allegedly murdered her husband Rajesh Chauhan at their home in Mumbai's Malvani. The incident took place in the Rathodi area.

Pooja killed Rajesh, who is a 30-year-old daily wage labourer, in front of their two children by slitting his throat was slit. Pooja and Mansoori reportedly transported Rajesh’s body on a motorcycle to a deserted location about 500 meters away and dumped the body.

They then went to the police station to file a missing person report, hoping to avoid suspicion. Pooja and Mansoori had been in a romantic relationship, and Pooja had lost interest in her husband.

She wanted to continue her affair with Mansoori, who was also a close friend of Rajesh. The couple allegedly conspired to murder Rajesh to remove the obstacle he was creating in their relationship.

The investigation gained momentum when CCTV footage revealed Pooja, Mansoori and Rajesh riding together on a motorcycle before the crime. The footage raised suspicions and the police initiated the investigation in that angle.

After further questioning, both Pooja and Mansoori admitted to their involvement in the murder. They confessed to conspiring to kill Rajesh due to their illicit relationship.

Initially, Pooja and Mansoori had misled the authorities. On Sunday (February 9), both were arrested and charged with murder. They were said to be presented before the court on Monday.
