Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Thieves broke into the house of a trader who had gone to a family function along with his family and decamped with valuables worth about Rs 27 lakh including cash and jewellery under Khajrana police station limits. Two thieves were caught in the CCTV cameras installed in the house in which they were seen entering the house wearing helmets and masks carrying iron rods.
When the house owner returned from the marriage, he found the door lock broken and the house ransacked. Khajrana police station in-charge Manoj Singh Sendhav said that the incident occurred at the house of Mustakim Ahmed living in Scheme Number 94 when he had gone for a marriage function. Two thieves were caught in the CCTV cameras and police are tracing them on the basis of CCTV footage.
The house owner Mustakim Ahmed, who is an iron trader, said that when they saw the CCTV footage, they found out that two thieves entered his house wearing helmets, covering their faces with masks and an iron rod in their hands. They climbed up from the garage and entered the house at 7:35 pm and left the house at 8:15 pm. The accused stole cash worth Rs 7.5 lakh and jewellery from the house.
Thieves came after 5 minutes of owner’s leaving house
Mustakim Ahmed said that he had gone with his family to attend his niece's marriage after locking his house on Friday. When he returned around 12.15 am, he found the lock of the house broken. The lights of the house were also off. When they went inside, they found the house ransacked.
When they saw the CCTV footage in the house, they came to know that the thieves had entered the house just five minutes after they had left for the marriage. Thus the businessman suspects that the accused could be someone known to them because they knew that they were going for a marriage and entered the house just 5 minutes after their leaving.
