Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A second murder by beating to death over a dispute involving women has been reported in the Dwarkapuri area in two days. A 35-year-old man proposed marriage to a woman, after which her brother, along with five of his accomplices thrashed him to death on Friday. Both the deceased and the accused were residents of the same locality.

According to the police, the deceased was identified as Ajju, son of Raju Ludhele, a resident of Shraddhasaburi Nagar. The incident took place around 8 pm near Banjara Dharamshala. Dwarkapuri police station in-charge Rahul Singh Rajput said that the deceased Ajju had proposed to a woman for marriage two days ago.

When the woman’s brother Vikash Bhadoriya came to know about the proposal he along with his five accomplices including three minors went to Ajju’s house. They thrashed him with sticks and iron rods. Ajju was rushed to the hospital in severe condition where he succumbed to his injuries late at night.

The police arrested Vikash Bhadoriya, Deva Marskole, Ramesh Khandare and detained three minors after registering a case against them under section 103(1), 191(2) of the BNS. Initially, allegations of harassment had surfaced that Ajju had harassed Vikas’s sister. However, Ajju's family members denied these claims, stating that he was not the kind of person to engage in such behaviour. Ajju worked as a driver. He is survived by his parents and a brother.
