Palghar, Maharashtra: In a significant drug bust, the Boisar MIDC police successfully raided a building in the Katkar Pada area of Boisar and seized MD (Mephedrone) drugs worth Rs 2.42 crore. The operation led to the arrest of a young man, Aman Murad, who was allegedly manufacturing the drugs at his residence.

The raid, conducted on Friday night based on a tip-off, uncovered a drug manufacturing operation in a residential building in the Katkar Pada area of Boisar, Asia's largest industrial estate. The police confiscated a large quantity of MD drugs, along with other materials used for their production. In addition to the drugs, critical evidence from the scene has been secured. Murad was arrested on the spot and taken into custody for further questioning.

Preliminary investigations indicate the accused, an MSc Chemistry graduate, leveraged his knowledge to manufacture the drugs. Police are now focused on tracing the source of the raw materials and investigating potential links to a larger drug network. There are ongoing efforts to track down other potential suspects and to determine the drug's intended distribution points.

A case has been registered under various relevant sections at the Boisar police station, and investigations are currently ongoing. The arrest and seizure have caused a stir in the local community.
