Team India will face England in the second ODI of the three-match series on Sunday at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack returning back after 5 years. India leads 1-0 after winning the first game in Nagpur by four wickets.
During the first ODI, England after a strong 75-run opening stand from Phil Salt 43runs and Ben Duckett 32runs, struggled at 111/4. However, Jos Buttler 52 runs and Jacob Bethell 51runs steadied the innings, with Jofra Archer’s cameo of 21* pushed visitors to 248 in 47.4 overs.
India’s bowlers, led by Ravindra Jadeja (3/26) and debutant Harshit Rana (3/53), kept England in check. In the chase, Shubman Gill 87 runs, Shreyas Iyer's fiery knock of 59 runs, and Axar Patel's 52*runs guided India to victory, despite efforts from Saqib Mahmood and Adil Rashid, who took two wickets each.
