New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is all set to make its comeback in Delhi after over 26 years. As per the Election Commission of India, the Narendra Modi-led party is is leading in 48 out of the 70 assembly seats. Former AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal, who was contesting from the New Delhi constituency, lost the seat against BJP's Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma by 4,089 votes.

The counting of votes for the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 has begun at 8 am on Saturday. The results will be declared by the evening. New Delhi, Kalkaji, Jangpura, Patparganj and Seelampur are among the key constituencies in Delhi.

There are 70 assembly constituencies in Delhi. The national capital territory (NCT) witnessed a fierce electoral battle between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress.

The AAP will be hoping to retain power for the third consecutive time, while the BJP is trying its best to dethrone the Arvind Kejriwal-led party. Meanwhile, the Congress, which failed to even win a single seat in the previous two polls, will be eying to increase its seat share. New Delhi, Kalka Ji and Jangpura are among the key constituencies.
