Actress Neena Gupta joined the bandwagon of celebs visiting the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, as she sought blessings on the banks of Ganga on Friday. The actress called her visit to Maha Kumbh a "unique experience" and revealed that it had been on her wish list for years.

"I have been wanting to come here for years... It was a unique experience... Finally, I took a dip today," Neena told ANI.

She stated that she had never seen anything bigger than the Maha Kumbh in her life. "The atmosphere here is crazy. I have never seen a bigger gathering in my life... I am impressed by the government for organising such a huge event," she said.

The 65-year-old actress revealed that she visited Maha Kumbh Mela to seek blessings for her upcoming film, Vadh 2, which also stars Sanjay Mishra. "We are halfway there with the shoot of the film, and very soon, we will wrap it up and present it to the audience," she said.

She also urged more people to visit Kumbh and said that she was surprised seeing people's devotion. "I have never seen anything like this before," she gushed.

The Maha Kumbh is one of the most significant religious gatherings in India, attracting millions of devotees who take a dip in the holy waters, believing it to cleanse them of their sins. A number of celebs have attended the Maha Kumbh Mela so far, including Anupam Kher, Hema Malini, Milind Soman, Esha Gupta, Mamta Kulkarni, Remo D'Souza, Poonam Pandey, Guru Randhawa, and Sourabh Raaj Jain among others.

The Maha Kumbh Mela, which commenced on January 13, will continue till February 26.
