The Indian Consulate in Seattle faced a law and order situation on Friday after a group of people intruded on its premises and misbehaved with staff. After the intruders refused to leave the premises despite multiple requests, authorities were called to remove the trespassers.
In an X post, the consulate stated, "Today, the Consulate was forced to deal with a law and order situation arising from the unauthorized entry by certain individuals into the Consulate premises after office hours."

"Despite repeated requests, these individuals refused to leave the Consulate premises and engaged in aggressive and threatening behavior with the Consulate staff," Consulate said.
"We were compelled to call in relevant local authorities to deal with the situation. Further action is being initiated against the trespassers," it added.
The incident comes weeks after External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar spoke about the 2023 attack on the Indian Consulate in San Francisco and termed it a "very serious matter."
While speaking to the press in Washington DC on Wednesday (local time), Jaishankar said India expects accountability for the incident and those responsible to be held accountable.
The Indian Consulate in San Francisco was attacked on March 19, 2023, according to reports.
The miscreants had attempted to set the Consulate building on fire by spraying inflammable substances.
