Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, also hailed as the 'messiah of the helpless', found himself at the receiving end of a legal notice after his name cropped up during the investigation in a Rs 10 lakh fraud case. An arrest warrant has now been issued against him in Ludhiana in the fraud case.
According to reports, the case has been filed by Ludhiana-based lawyer Rajesh Khanna primarily against one Mohit Shukla, and he claimed that the latter lured him to invest in a fake Rajika coin.

While Sonu's role in the fraud is yet to be ascertained, according to ANI, he was summoned to testify in court, but he failed to appear. An arrest was then issued against the actor for not adhering to the court's summons.
"Sonu Sood, has been duly served with summon(s) or warrant(s) but he/she has failed to attend (absconds and keeps out of the way for the purpose of avoiding service of a summon(s) or warrant(s)). You are hereby ordered to arrest and bring the said Sonu Sood before the Court..." the arrest warrant read.
Sonu and his team are yet to release an official statement on the fiasco.
On the work front, Sonu was last seen in the film, Fateh, which also featured Jacqueline Fernandez. The film marked his debut as a director, and is also starred veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah and Vijay Raaz in key roles.
In the film, Sonu played a former special operations officer, who teams up with an ethical hacker, played by Jacqueline, to bring down a cybercrime syndicate.
In the film, Sonu was seen in a badass action avatar, and it went on to earn Rs 12 crore at the box office despite its clash with Ram Charam and Kiara Advani's Game Changer.
