Mumbai: A 40-year-old woman, working at the canteen of a former BJP MP Kirit Somaiya from Northeast Mumbai, has lodged a complaint at Navghar Police Station against an unidentified man for stalking and throwing an ink-filled Pauch at her.

The woman stated in her complaint that on Tuesday around 8 PM, while returning home after finishing work at the former MP's office, she sensed that someone was following her. Around 8:15 PM, she stopped at an ATM to withdraw cash.

At that moment, the unidentified stalker, who was hiding behind parked vehicles, threw an ink-filled Pauch at her face. Shocked and confused, the woman froze for a few minutes before heading home.

After narrating the incident to her husband, they approached Navghar Police Station and registered an FIR.

The Navghar Police stated that the woman did not see the attacker’s face or recognize who threw the Pauch. The police are scanning CCTV footage from the area to identify the suspect and confirm the stalking allegations.
