Mumbai: In a major development in the Torres case, it has been revealed that the accused Armen had forged a birth certificate from the G-South Ward Office. Following this revelation, the Bhoiwada Police Station is set to register an FIR against him.

Ukrainian actor Armen Ataian, who was arrested last month from Madh Road, Malad, has now been remanded to judicial custody. Initially, he was in police custody until February 3, but after his court appearance, he was transferred to judicial custody.

During interrogation, it was revealed that Armen had forged a birth certificate from the G-South Ward Office. In response, the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has written to the Bhoiwada Police requesting them to register a case against Armen.

Bhoiwada Police have started gathering information regarding the matter and plan to question the concerned G-South Ward officials involved. However, no case has been officially registered against Armen yet.

EOW Writes to RTO About 12 Cars in Torres Case : In a related development, the EOW has written to the RTO regarding 12 luxury cars linked to Torres. The accused allegedly lured investors by promising them cars in exchange for investments, defrauding them of crores of rupees.

Over the past year, 11 different cars were handed over to investors via a lucky draw scheme, while one car was parked outside Torres' showroom in Dadar, which has now been seized by the EOW. The EOW has requested the RTO not to allow any sale, purchase, or transfer of ownership for the remaining 11 cars until further investigation is completed.
