Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A 31-year-old man was killed in a violent attack on Wednesday night in Dwarkapuri, Indore. The incident was allegedly a murder planned out by his lover and her new boyfriend, said the police. 

After the fatal assault, the accused left the victim near a garden in a critical condition and fled the spot. The victim was then sent to hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors. 

The police have registered a case under relevant sections and started an investigation.

According to information, the incident occurred near Akshat Garden. The victim was identified as Nilesh Atude (31), was a resident of Ambikapuri in Aerodrome area.

Reason behind the attack

Nilesh was in a relationship with a married woman Hina, who had left her husband. However, she was also involved with another man, Pawan, from Kundan Nagar.

When Hina stopped talking to Nilesh, he pressured her to meet and continue their relationship. Upset by this, Hina told Pawan about the situation. 

In response, Pawan, along with his friends Krishna and another unidentified person, attacked Nilesh near Akshat Garden.

Accused informed Nilesh’s sister about assault

As Nilesh was severely injured, the attackers called his sister and informed her about his condition before fleeing the scene. Later that night, Nilesh succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Police have detained some suspects and are searching for the others involved.

DCP Rishikesh Meena stated, "It appears to be a case of assault leading to death. We have registered a case and are awaiting the post-mortem report. Further investigation is ongoing."

Nilesh was father to a 5-year-old

Nilesh’s wife Sonu had died during the COVID-19 pandemic, and his father had passed away years ago. He was the only son of his mother and worked in construction. He also had a five-year-old son.

Police are actively searching for the remaining suspects and are expected to reveal more details soon.
