The eighth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) 2025 is to be held on February 10 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. This much-awaited event provides students with the rare opportunity to engage with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other distinguished experts in different fields.
This year those who will be involved in the trip to empower students include Deepika Padukone, Mary Kom, Avani Lekhara, Rujuta Divekar, Sonali Sabharwal, FoodPharmer, Vikrant Massey, Bhumi Pednekar, Technical Guruji, and Radhika Gupta.
Thousands of students registered from December 14, 2024, through January 14, 2025, in PPC 2025 for this year's meeting with PM Modi. With more than 3.30 crore registrations from parents, teachers, and students in India and outside, PPC 2025 has reached a historic milestone.
Student-centric approach
On Monday, a casual interaction with youngsters at Delhi's Sundar Nursery, PM Modi emphasised the importance of a student-first approach in education. He emphasised that instead of focusing solely on rankings, there should be students' welfare and overall development.
To strengthen PPC's status as a "Jan Andolan," several engaging events were held at the school level from January 12, 2025 (National Youth Day) to January 25, 2025 (Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti).
The purpose of these events, which were held in various States and UTs, was to get teachers, parents, and students involved in PPC celebrations. In all, 2.94 lakh schools, 12.81 lakh teachers, and 1.42 crore students took part. These exercises were intended to lower tension, increase concentration, and boost performance both before and after tests.
Indigenous games like Kho-Kho and Kabaddi, short-distance marathons, creative meme contests, Nukkad Natak performances, and visually striking poster creation were among the many activities for which students were invited to take part. To develop calm and awareness, they were also urged to take part in student-led debates, practise yoga and meditation, and share their experiences through student testimonies. Schools hosted student-written plays, held workshops, and invited notable speakers to offer their perspectives.
Rewards and recognition
This time, the PPC kits will be distributed by the education government for all participants who attend the annual event. Close to 2,500 picked pupils will enjoy the experience in the current session. The Prime Minister's Home visit is to be experienced only by the Top 10 "Legendary Exam Warriors." Selected pupils can even present to PM Modi during the programme.
