Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 16-year-old boy committed suicide by hanging himself as his parents refused to buy him a mobile phone. The incident took place under Parwalia Sadak police station limit on Tuesday. According to reports, Bag Bagonia resident Himanshu Singh was a Class 11 student. On Tuesday evening, he was found hanging from the ceiling in his room. Police reached the spot but did not find suicide note.

Preliminary questioning revealed that Himanshu had been asking his parents to buy him a mobile phone, which his father Kamal had refused, thinking it may affect his studies. Thana inchrage Rohit Nagar said Himanshu hanged himself and ended his life as he was upset that he did not have a mobile phone. Investigations are underway in this connection.

In another incident, Santosh Kushwaha was found hanging from a tree in Parwalia Sadak area. Investigations revealed that Santosh’s wife had left him, which made him an alcohol addict. He was suffering from depression.

In yet another incident, a 22-year-old woman hanged himself in Berasia area on Tuesday afternoon. According to reports, area resident Tikaram Kushwaha who works at a cloth shop had left for work. His wife Muskan and two children were at home. His brother Mohar Kushwaha called him when he spotted body of Muskan hanging from the ceiling in her room while her two children were crying nearby. Police officials said that no suicide note was found and investigations were underway.
