Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The campus of Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS) on Shamla Hills in being given a facelift for the two-day Global Investors Summit (GIS), which will begin on February 24. It will be inaugurated by Prime Minister at 10 am. It is for the first time that IGRMS, spread over 250 acres, is being used for hosting a mega event.

Museum’s Aavritti Bhawan located on the Boat Club side will host the main function. Separate domes are being constructed, which will house the Summit Hall, Media Lounge and Partner Country Pavilion.

Besides, places have earmarked for PM Convoy, Main Hall, MP Experience Zone, PM Lounge, Entry Gate and VIP Lunch Area. Teams of employees from Bhopal Municipal Corporation, Public Works Department and other agencies have been placed on the job. Roads are being relaid and broadened. Trees and plants are being pruned. Paving blocks are being laid on both sides of the roads to give them a wider, better look. The walls have been decked up with tribal paintings.

Mukesh Ambani of Reliance, Gautam Adani of Adani Group, N Chandrasekaran and Noel Tata of Tata, Azim Premji of Wipro Limited, Anand Mahindra of Mahindra, Sunil Bharti Mittal of Bharti Enterprises, Sanjeev Puri of ITC, Sanjeev Bajaj of Bajaj Finserv and Satish Reddy of Dr Reddy's Laboratories and many others are expected to attend the mega event.
