Soon after the polling for Delhi Assembly elections concluded at 6:30 pm today, news publications came out with their predictions about the outcome of the elections. The majority of the pollsters, who have revealed their predictions so far, have predicted the saffron party's victory in the Union Territory. BJP has been out of power in Delhi for more than 25 years.
Responding to the exit polls, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has congratulated the people of Delhi for giving so much love and blessings to the party.

"'Aapda' is leaving and BJP is coming...if somebody does fake voting, they will be caught...we have been saying about this since day one, and it's good that they have been caught...people of Delhi want a corruption-free government and they want development," news agency ANI quoted Sachdeva as saying.
Pollster P-MARQ has anticipated the BJP's victory in the Delhi Assembly Elections by predicting 39-49 seats for the saffron party. The AAP is likely to get 21-31 seats, as per P-MARQ. 0-1 seat has been predicted for the Congress party. The majority mark to form a government in the UT is 36.
Another exit poll result by Matrice indicates a neck-and-neck fight between BJP and the ruling AAP. According to the Matrice exit poll, the BJP is predicted to win 35-40 seats while AAP will get 32-37 seats.
BJP is likely to win 42-50 seats, AAP 18-25, and Congress 0-1 seat, as per the Poll Diary Exit Poll.
The polling for high-stakes Delhi Assembly Elections concluded on Wednesday at 6 pm. The voting took place in all 70 assembly constituencies in a single phase. The fates of 699 candidates were sealed in EVM machines across 13,766 polling stations. The ruling AAP aims for a third consecutive full term, while the BJP seeks to form its government after being out of power for over 25 years in the union territory. Congress, which ruled for 15 years before being ousted by AAP in 2014, is fighting to reclaim its lost ground.
