Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): In an unexpected incident, an elderly woman reached Gwalior collectorate on a medical stretcher On Wednesday, pleading to save her from her younger son and daughter-in-law. 

The woman is said to be suffering from cancer. She pleaded with officials to save her from the abuse of her younger son and daughter-in-law. 

Moved by her tearful request, officials immediately directed the local police station to investigate the matter, take necessary action, and ensure her safety.

According to information, the victim has been identified as Sadhana Dwivedi, a resident of Mahalgaon near Karauli Mata Temple. She is battling a severe illness, Cancer. 

However, she had been facing serious harassment from her younger son, Anant, and his wife, Deepika reportedly. She was brought to the Collectorate by her elder son, Amish Dwivedi, who could no longer bear to see his mother’s pain. Shocked by her condition, officials arranged for an ambulance to take her back safely.

Victim lost husband to COVID-19

According to Sadhana Dwivedi, she owns a family house and lost her husband to COVID-19 in 2021. Since then, her younger son has been trying to take full control of the house. When Amish leaves for work, Anant and Deepika allegedly beat her and even throw her out of the house, forcing her to spend nights in the cold.

The dispute over property escalated when Anant reportedly made false accusations against the Amish through his wife. Despite multiple complaints, police had not intervened earlier. 

After hearing her ordeal, Collectorate officials ordered the local police to ensure her safety and conduct a serious investigation.
