India is set to face England in a three-match ODI series starting February 6, which will serve as a key preparation for the upcoming Champions Trophy beginning on February 19.

Ahead of the first ODI, BCCI shared a video of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli practicing in the nets, where they started cautiously before shifting to aggressive shots as they will be making there comeback in white ball series after long time.

Rohit was also seen playing his favorite pull shot during the nets while Virat was seen playing some aggressive shots down the ground.

Both players struggled for form in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and Ranji Trophy, making this series crucial for them to regain confidence. Kohli, the leading run-scorer of the 2023 ODI World Cup with 50 centuries, and Rohit, known for his aggressive batting.

Rohit & Virat struggled in Ranji trophy

Rohit Sharma returned to domestic cricket after 12 years, playing for Mumbai against Jammu & Kashmir, but managed to score only 31 runs in both innings.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli’s much-anticipated domestic comeback after nearly 13 years didn’t go as planned, as he was dismissed for just 6 runs by Himanshu Sangwan while playing against Railways at Arun Jaitley Stadium. Both players will now aim to regain form before the Champions Trophy.

The 3 match ODI series against England will be played in Nagpur (Feb 6), Cuttack (Feb 9), and Ahmedabad (Feb 12).
