A simple bike-ride on ride-hailing app Rapido turned into a nightmare real quick for a Delhi woman as the biker started asking her personal questions and made dozens of calls to her even when the ride was over. The woman took to social media platform Reddit are described her ordeal.
As per a post made by her under username 'aloogobhi', the woman said that the trouble started when she was making payment for the ride when the Rapido biker dropped her at her location. The situation became uncomfortable for her when the man started asking personal questions. Thinking it was just small tall that will soon end, the woman spoke a bit with the driver.
But the biker kept on talkin, made some personal comments, asked her social media details and even requested her to not call him 'bhaiyya' (brother)
"Aap itne young aur sundar ho ...," said the Rapido rider. As he asked for her social media details, the woman excused herself by saying that she doen't use social media.
The situation didn't end there. The Rapido rider called the woman dozens of times

The woman then filed a complaint with Rapido's customer care. The company told her that the rider was permanently disbarred from the platform.
The woman's post on Reddit elicited many reactions on the platform where people disapproved of the biker's behaviour.
"Good to hear that you are safe and sound. And also that they took action against him," said a Reddit user.
"Hey Hope you are Safe and Sound. Please do inform your dear ones and share the live location to them before you start the ride. And please do avoid bike taxis as it is unsafe because I have felt at times these drivers keep jumping signals at times and they don't properly check the roads before crossing. Go for a shared Auto/Cab if you can. If not please rely on Public Transport. Kudos to the Rapido team for taking Strict Action." said another comment.
