Plot

The film is set in 1815 and follows a sailor named Edmond Dantes, whose life appears perfect when he falls in love with a beautiful and kind woman, leading him to decide to marry her. However, his blissful life takes a dark turn on the day of his wedding when a group of people arrives at the church and arrests him, accusing him of being a traitor.
