Kerala: A 15-year-old student in Kerala ended life after enduring brutal ragging and bullying over his skin colour. He jumped from the 26th floor of his building on January 15 after returning home from school. His mother alleged that he was “forced to lick toilet seats” and had his “head shoved into the toilet while it was flushed.”

An FIR has been registered at Hill Palace Police Station in Thripunithura. Mihir’s mother has also filed a petition with the Child Commission, demanding an investigation. The complaint includes allegations against the Vice Principal of his previous school, GEMS Kochi.

According to information, the victim, identified as 15-year-old Mihir Ahammed was a student at the Global Public School in Thiruvaniyoor, Ernakulam. According to sources, Mihir was subjected to extreme torture and harrassment over his skin colour. Mihir faced relentless physical and verbal abuse, enduring extreme humiliation even on his last day. He was forcibly taken to the washroom, made to lick a toilet seat, and had his head pushed into the toilet while it was flushed.

The family spoke to Mihir’s friends and checked his social media messages to understand what led to his tragic decision. They claim the findings confirm the severe harassment he suffered. An FIR has been registered against the accused and Mihir's previous school GEMS Kochi. Authorities have launched a probe into the matter and further investigation is underway.
