Speaking on the occasion, Balan said, “The Punit Balan Group always takes the initiative to encourage athletes. I am happy to be closely associated with the mud-wrestling sport through the Hindu Garjana Chashak (trophy). We will distribute many prizes worth ₹42 lakh, including a Thar SUV."
BJP Pune City President and Hindu Garjana Pratishthan President Dheeraj Ghate said, "We are making efforts to hold this competition on par with the Maharashtra Kesari contest. Sportspersons, artists, social workers and dignitaries from the political sphere will be present. The contest will be held on February 7, 8, and 9, at SP College, Tilak Road, Pune."
