Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A 33-year-old unemployed software engineer and his mother allegedly consumed poison and died in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior on Sunday. Their bodies were found at their residence

A suicide note recovered from the man’s pocket revealed that the decision was made willingly and requested that no one be held responsible for their deaths.

The man, identified as Manish Rajput, was a software engineer who had been struggling with unemployment and depression.

According to his brother, Anil Rajput, Manish was distressed about not being able to find a job despite completing his engineering degree.

He was also upset about not being married, which worsened his mental state.

On Saturday night, Manish consumed poison, and his family found him unconscious after breaking into his locked room.

He was rushed to the Civil Hospital and later referred to Jayarogya Hospital, where he died during treatment.

The shock of Manish’s death caused his mother to pass away soon after.

Police arrived on Sunday morning after being informed of the incident. SI Jabahar Singh from Gwalior Police confirmed that the suicide note indicated the act was voluntary.

Both bodies have been sent for a second postmortem, and investigations are ongoing to confirm the exact details.
