Mumbai, January 16: A Kerala man identified as Manu Mohanan who is working as an ambulance nurse in Bahrain, has reportedly won a whopping 30 million Bahraini Dinar which converts to ₹71 crore in Indian currency in the Big Ticket lottery. The 36-year-old shared his incredible story of struggle and success after winning the jackpot.

Years of Financial Struggles

As per reports from Mint, Manu Mohanan is raised by his single mother after his father left when he was a baby, he faced many challenges growing up. His mother worked tirelessly, even carrying bricks and stones to give him a good education. Despite these efforts, Manu experienced financial difficulties as an adult, especially after moving to Bahrain.

For five years, Manu and a group of 16 friends had been pooling money to buy lottery tickets, even cutting back on expenses to make it possible. After a brief pause last year, they resumed buying tickets five months ago. This persistence finally paid off.

The Winning Moment

Manu was on duty when he received the call informing him of his win. Initially numb with shock, he immediately shared the news with his group of friends. The emotional moment brought some of them to tears.

“These men are like my brothers. We’ve been through so much together, and we know each other’s struggles,” Manu said. The group plans to use the prize money to repay debts, build houses and secure their families' futures.

Supporting His Family

Manu also shared the joyous news with his wife and mother, who recently traveled to Bahrain to help him after the birth of his first child. For Manu, the biggest reward is being able to give back to his mother.

“My mother sacrificed everything for me. She deserves a peaceful and comfortable life now,” he said.

A Bright Future Ahead

With the lottery win, Manu’s life has taken a remarkable turn. The money will help him and his friends overcome financial challenges and ensure a brighter future for their families.
